Easy Blanket Pattern

Wednesday 22nd August 2018

I made this blanket for my dad for Christmas, which took me about a month to knit. He asked me in February if I would make him one, but I jokingly said that I wouldn't, and managed to keep it a secret until Christmas day! He was very happy with it, and was snuggled under it as soon as he opened it!

Here is the very simple pattern you need to make this blanket:

You will need:

- Sirdar Big Softie Super Chunky Yarn; I used Meringue (cream), Blancmange (light blue) and dark blue (I can't remember what the name is!)

- 10mm straight knitting needles

Method:

Cast on 120 stitches using the dark blue wool.

Stockinette stitch for 30 rows.

Change to light blue.
